Tom & Patti Hughes - Program Parents
Tom and Patti have been married for over 35 years and have five children and nine grandchildren. Tom attended Southern Utah University where he played basketball and graduated with a Masters Degree in Education. Tom has had an extremely successful career in both education as well as coaching. Tom has spent a combined 15 years coaching high school girls basketball and girls softball. During his time coaching, Tom has won multiple state championships and coach of the year three times. His years spent coaching has given Tom invaluable experience in working with and motivating youth, especially teenage girls. His wife Patti is a graphic artist and has supported and worked with Tom throughout his coa ching years. She instituted and has chaired a local grad nite committee which hosts various activities for students on graduation night with the intent to provide a safe and fun environment for high school graduates to celebrate. Both Tom and Patti love working with youth and have desired for a long time to be able to provide an exclusive school where selected youth can have a life changing experience regarding their self-esteem, health, and weight management.

Amy Gubler
Certified Lifestyle and Weight Management Consultant Certified Aerobics and Group Instructor
Amy played Division I Basketball at Southern Utah University where she graduated Summa Cum Laude with a bachelors degree in education. Amy has had a lifelong interest in health and exercise and loves working one on one with others to help them set and reach their goals with weight loss and fitness. For the past five years, Amy has been an instructor at a local gym. Amy is certified in Lifestyle and Weight Management as well as Aerobics and Cardio training. She has extensive knowledge in physical training and is certified to instruct cardio, strength, kick boxing, step, interval, and sports conditioning training. Youll love work out classes with Amy. She finds a way to make them fun and exciting, and you will always be learning something new
Cory Gubler - Nutritionist
Our Nutritionist, Cory, doesnt believe in dieting. A diet implies a temporary change in your eating habits. He believes that success and healthy weight loss can be achieved through small and simple changes to your eating habits. He will teach you how calories affect weight loss and how to track those calories throughout the day. You will also learn about the importance of all of the food groups, and how to choose what you should eat each day.
Cory will teach you how you can lose weight and still eat the foods you love. He makes it easy and you will love the way we view food and weight loss at NAF!
NAFs doctor is Mel Carter, MD. Mel has been practicing medicine for the past 22 years, with the last 18 of those years spent treating and working with clients on weight loss and weight management. Maintaining a healthy weight is important to Mel and he has expressed that as the founder and co-owner of Lifetyme Fitness, a local gym. He has been married 32 years and is the father of 5 and grandfather of 6.
Mel loves life and you will like his positive and up-beat attitude. He enjoys working with youth to help them live healthy and active lives. You will benefit from the consultations you have with him each month as he evaluates your progress and helps you to set and reach your weight-loss goals in a healthy and safe way. He will help to make sure that your individual program at NAF is tailored to your overall health needs. And if you are ever sick, he will help you to start feeling well again soon. Mel is one more way that you will achieve life changing success as you experience our program at NAF.
Our personal trainer makes strength training a blast! Micah has loved sports and physical activities since his childhood. About 11 years ago he became interested in weight training and has been hooked ever since. He is a certified trainer and will help you to learn the correct exercises and techniques to shape your body and be safe while you do it. He will work with you one-on-one to make sure that you reach your strength training goals and have fun while doing it.
Micah is a father of three and loves working with kids. He has spent various years coaching youth basketball, football, and baseball. He feels that encouragement, belief, and motivation are keys to helping kids to reach their full potential. He also feels that anyone can learn to love to work out, and he will help you to find the ways to make it fun for you..
